Club Pool Night

Club Pool Night Process

  • Use the correct template – pool request.
  • The pool is not available on Monday nights.
  • Schedule pool online at least 10 business days in advance - we are not able to schedule an earlier date over the phone.
  • Scheduling will review requests with pool manager and she will assign the number of guards to the event.
  • Once assigned, Event Services & Outreach will send you the confirmation with total fees for lifeguards.
  • A CPO for lifeguard fees:  $14.50 per guard/per hour must be created and taken to Seasider Sports & Activities three days before event.

Pool Rules

Guests are required to park in marked stalls only. Refrain from parking on the grass, sidewalks and front or side of the facility entrance.

  • All persons must shower before entering the pool.
  • No more than 45 people are allowed in the pool at one time (July 19, 2023). If maximum amount is reached, others will have to wait until someone gets out of pool before entering. Guards will be enforcing.
  • No running, rough play, or excessive noise within pool area, locker rooms, and bleachers.
  • Any persons having open blisters, cuts, bandages, infectious disease, etc., are prohibited from using the pool.
  • No music inside main front entrance of pool.
  • No floatation devices such as inner tubes and noodles or toys are allowed. (Including life jackets)
  • Children: Only arm floaters and swim vests are allowed. (September 7, 2011, Janelle Farley in office)
  • No food, drinks, or gum beyond the main front entrance of pool.
  • Deck diving allowed only at 9’ section. No flips or back dives allowed.
  • All non-swimmers and children, who have not passed the swim test, must be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times.
  • Those not abiding by the directions of the Lifeguards may be excused from the pool area.
  • The consumption of tea, coffee, alcoholic beverages, or the use of tobacco, narcotics, or other illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia are prohibited. Violence and threats of violence, including profane or abusive language will not be tolerated.

Pool Dress Standards

  • Modest, one-piece swimsuits required. (No Speedos, jeans, cut off shorts, shorts past the knee.)
  • Tankinis with long tops are allowed. Guards will make determination if a t-shirt is required to be worn. Rash guards are okay.
  • Swim shorts may be worn over suit.
  • No diapers. Children not toilet trained need to wear plastic pants or Swimmers.
  • If you have any medical conditions that could take effect in or around the pool area, please notify the lifeguards for your protection.
  • Lifeguards reserve the right to refuse admittance to or eject from the pool premises, any persons failing to comply with pool regulations.

Pool Equipment

The BYU Hawaii pool equipment is free for BYU Hawaii clubs and departments to use during their event. Arrangement for these items must be scheduled through Scheduling at the Event Services & Outreach department at the same time your reservation request is made. By using the pool equipment, you understand and agree that you will be charged for any damages resulting from your use.
